Thoughts on SolarBOS AC Combiner?

Thoughts on SolarBOS AC Combiner? I'm gonna install 3 SMA CORE1 inverters (50 kW each) and I'm looking for an AC circuit aggregation solution. Normally we use ABB enclosures and OCPD's because they always offer good price and their products are reliable. Recently I discovered the SolarBOS AC Combiner and I thought the crew would save a lot of time because the combiner is already assembled based on your preferences. I just wanna know if anyone of you have already installed it and if you would recommend it. Do you think any other solution is better? http://www.solarbos.com/AC-Combiners submitted by /u/mgarza [visit reddit] [comments] https://ift.tt/2Nj2sQn

Wise to plan for more energy consumption?

Wise to plan for more energy consumption? I received a proposal for a 6.195 kw system based on my 10,780 kWh estimated annual electric usage. In a few months I'll have my brother's family of 4 (no teens) moving in with us for at least 2 years. My question is, would it be wise to shoot for a slightly larger system to compensate for their extra use of energy? I've read that its possible to consume more energy than my system would produce leaving me to basically buy back from our one and only electric company. OP for proposal *with updates* submitted by /u/vickerzsasz [visit reddit] [comments] https://ift.tt/2V8Q349

Solar power in densely populated areas could get inspiration from gardens and art of gardening, despite bit higher cost and less optimal layout. Would be cheaper than separate garden + closed solar plant area

Solar power in densely populated areas could get inspiration from gardens and art of gardening, despite bit higher cost and less optimal layout. Would be cheaper than separate garden + closed solar plant area Place may need solar power and also a garden / park. Instead of making these separately on separate areas, there could be some kind of hybrid. Lots of white to reflect light to solar panels and some decorative colors. UV and near-infrared absorbed on surfaces if they do not help give energy. Combinations of 2 axis, 1 axis and fixed panels. In snowy areas, panel angles such that snow slides off. Panels placed high enough to walk and run below. Most ground could be shadowed by panels. Need to have similar attitude as with design of these: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-omnAurnpXs https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jj6JCwiZlck https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zTO81733N10 Netflix has some garden documentaries. submitted by /u/herkato5 [visit reddit] [comments] https://ift.t...
