LGchem battery limit in warm climates
I was reading battery spec sheets and was surprised to find that the popular LGchem RESU10H battery has a recommended operating tremperature upper limit of just 86 degrees (F). That is a lot lower than the upper operating temperature limit for all the other batteries I could find, including AGM and Lithium both with and without active cooling like the LG.
That limit is so low that there is no place in Florida one could be used. I live in NE FLorida and summer high temperatures easily reach 95F for weeks at a time. I am sure inside my garage it is warmer than that.
The LGchem battery is the one best supported by the SolarEdge inverters so are those not being installed in Florida either? The Tesla Powerwall looks similar but it really isn't, since the Tesla uses AC coupling with its own built in inverter/charger while the LG uses DC coupling.
