Solar panel air conditioning

This might be a stupid question

If I have a 2.6kw aircon in my room and I want to power it off solar directly, does that mean I need a 2.6kw solar system atleast?

It makes sense but it seems excessive when the average is a 5kw system and that is for an entire house. I just want to buy a few solar panels to run the aircon directly off of rather than using the power grid.

Hopefully this makes sense!

Aurora Inverter giving E050 error randomly The message requires a reset to get the inverter working again, but it's random - may happen a couple times a day, may skip a day or two. I have checked every connection, and even inside the inverter where the DC gets connected (2 arrays running). I tried turning off each array independently, but it continued for both lines at the same frequency. The only possible point of spark generation would be the connector box on the roof, which has wirenuts from the arrays themselves to the cable to the inverter. They are tight, but I went ahead and wrapped them with silicon tape (didn't help). Could the inverter itself have a problem?
