Are batteries practical with commercial scale solar?

I keep hearing news of company xyz offering LI-ion batteries at $200/kW, if anyone knows where those can be bought I want a 500kWh system. I work for a company that uses a lot of power. We are talking about investing in a 175-200kW solar array to drop our significant power bill and be more environmentally conscious. Unfortunately more than half our power bill consists of the peak demand charge. If I can find battery to smooth out our power usage during peak processing times I'm sure I can get the go ahead to spend the money on a huge solar array. Any help for solar coupled batteries out there?
