Making sense of a quote. Thoughts?

I had a guy come and sit down for a quote today and I get the feeling they are high-balling me on the cost. They quoted a 14.75 kw system using LG panels and solaredge inverter/optimizer for $54k before incentives, or $3.65/W. That is the price per watt I'm seeing for New York State, but I though it would be lower since I'm not in NYC. Also, this is a standard roof install on a newer home (less than 10 years). This seems high based on what I've seen elsewhere, but wanted to check with you folks here first before discontinuing our conversation. I need quotes from other companies, but if this is what I'm looking at, I might have to reconsider.
