Solar monitoring software

Is it possible to change the software used to monitor solar panels?

I'm shopping quotes (Energy sage) and I don't want to be stuck with poor monitoring software or have to deal with unsupported software if a company goes out of business or just has poor support in general.

Are there free options? What to stay away from? Best available?

Aurora Inverter giving E050 error randomly The message requires a reset to get the inverter working again, but it's random - may happen a couple times a day, may skip a day or two. I have checked every connection, and even inside the inverter where the DC gets connected (2 arrays running). I tried turning off each array independently, but it continued for both lines at the same frequency. The only possible point of spark generation would be the connector box on the roof, which has wirenuts from the arrays themselves to the cable to the inverter. They are tight, but I went ahead and wrapped them with silicon tape (didn't help). Could the inverter itself have a problem?
